Wall Mounted Digital Signage

Many people think wall-mounted digital signage is similar to monitors and televisions.

In reality, they are quite different. Digital signage can display audio, video, images, text, time, weather, and other content through large-screen terminal display devices, and can also display content in split-screen mode.

So, what exactly are the differences between wall-mounted digital signage systems and ordinary monitors and televisions?

1. Multiple Systems:

LCD wall-mounted digital signage systems typically use Android or Windows systems and have a rich array of applications.

LCD digital signage systems support uploading various image, document, music, and video formats, and support split-screen display.

Playback methods are also diverse, such as playback and scrolling subtitles, while television playback methods are relatively limited, which is something televisions cannot match.

2. Differences in Shell Material and Appearance:

As is well known, televisions typically use plastic shells, suitable only for everyday use.

However, DNR’s wall-mount digital signage shells are made of aluminum and metal sheets, which are non-flammable after deformation, while televisions typically use plastic materials.

3. Network-enabled LCD digital signage supports remote client management software:

It can remotely control the displayed content via intranet and internet, and allows for customization of the displayed content, simultaneously displaying audio, video, images, text, time, weather, and other information.

Once a network connection is established, all LCD wall mount digital signage can be edited at home via the backend management software without on-site operation by administrators. Upload, download, and delete operations can also be performed on storage devices.

The software also possesses user-friendly functions not available on televisions, such as log and data management.

4. Usage Duration:

Due to the different positioning of televisions compared to advertising machines, televisions cannot operate 24/7. LCD wall-mounted digital signage, however, uses industrial-grade LCD screens and can operate 24/7 in specific situations.

However, after a period of use, the back cover of a television will feel warm to the touch.

This is because televisions have poor heat dissipation, and 24/7 operation places a heavy burden on them. LCD digital signage is more commonly used for 24/7 operation.

5. Different Brightness Environments:

Because LCD wall-mounted digital signage is typically placed in well-lit open areas, it may not meet the brightness requirements of home televisions and consumer displays.

Its internal lighting is softer than outdoor light, making it specifically designed for indoor use.

A television set only needs a brightness of 250 lux, while typical advertising players have a brightness between 350 and 500 lux. Not only indoors, but many businesses also need to install it near their entrances, and some are even specifically designed for outdoor environments.
